Feels Like Home Festival: Celebrating a Successful First Year with Casey Dolan Consulting
The Feels Like Home Festival just wrapped up its debut year in Brownsville, Texas, and I’m thrilled to have been part of bringing this event to life working with the event’s producer, Soundskilz! Working with the team to establish a dynamic online presence was a rewarding experience, allowing us to capture the spirit of the festival, the town of Brownsville, and the brand-new events center. Here’s how Casey Dolan Consulting helped showcase the best of Feels Like Home Fest and the community it celebrates.
Showcasing the Festival and the Heart of Brownsville
From the start, it was important that the website reflected not only the excitement of the festival but also the charm of Brownsville itself. The new Brownsville events center provided an impressive backdrop, and the website highlighted its role as the perfect home for live music, BBQ, and community gatherings. Visitors to the site could explore not only event details but also learn more about the town and the venue, capturing the sense of local pride that makes Feels Like Home Festival so unique.
Artist Pages with Spotify Playlists, Bios, and More
A key part of the website’s design was giving fans the chance to connect with the artists and discover their music ahead of the festival. Individual artist pages were created for each performer, complete with Spotify playlists, bios, and fun facts to help fans get a feel for the lineup. This feature allowed fans to preview the music, learn about the artists, and build excitement before the big day. By offering this “get-to-know” experience, the website helped deepen the connection between fans and performers.
BBQ Pitmasters: Bios and Tantalizing Photos
No festival in Texas would be complete without incredible BBQ, and Feels Like Home Festival didn’t disappoint. To honor the talented pitmasters, we created dedicated pages showcasing each BBQ vendor, complete with bios and mouth-watering photos of their smoky, flavorful dishes. This gave attendees a preview of what to expect and highlighted the incredible culinary talent behind the BBQ offerings. After all, the food is just as much a part of the experience as the music!
E-Commerce for Festival Merchandise
We knew fans would want to take a piece of Feels Like Home with them, so we set up an e-commerce store for festival merchandise. From exclusive tees to fun souvenirs, the online shop made it easy for fans to grab their favorite items. This feature provided another way for the festival’s spirit to live on, long after the last performance ended.
Real-Time Insights with Analytics & Digital Support
Behind the scenes, analytics allowed us to keep a close eye on website performance, ticket sales, and user engagement. This real-time data helped us make informed adjustments to keep everything running smoothly and ensure fans had a seamless experience. It was crucial to understand how fans were interacting with the site to better serve their needs and enhance the overall festival experience.
The first year of Feels Like Home Festival was a huge success, and I’m honored to have contributed to its digital launch. Working with the festival team to celebrate Brownsville, connect fans with artists, and create an inviting online space was a truly rewarding experience. Here’s to even bigger things next year!
