Chula Vista Starlight Parade 2025 Recap – Website, Digital Marketing, and Design Highlights

By Published On: December 9th, 2025

The 61st annual Chula Vista Starlight Parade & Festival lit up Third Avenue this past weekend, drawing thousands of families and holiday regulars to one of Southern California’s most beloved traditions. It was a big night for the city, a big night for community spirit, and a fun project to help support from the digital side.

I partnered with the team at Soundskilz Inc. to handle the website design, digital marketing (social, programmatic, and paid search), organic social, and graphic design for the 2025 parade. When a production team runs a tight ship and a community shows up in force, the results tend to speak for themselves.

A Community Event With Big Visibility

The Starlight Parade has been part of Chula Vista’s identity for decades, and this year’s turnout showed exactly why. Coverage from CBS 8 San Diego highlighted how the event continues to “captivate families” and bring generations together for a shared holiday celebration.

Another feature from Travel and Tour World emphasized the parade’s impact on tourism and community pride, reinforcing the value of events that combine local tradition with strong visibility and outreach.

When tradition meets solid promotion, you get nights like this.

Website Design That Makes the Event Easy to Navigate

The event website was built to make everything simple for attendees, vendors, and sponsors. The schedule, parade route, street closures, festival layout, vendor information, it’s all presented clearly so people know where to go and what to expect.

Holiday events move fast. Clear navigation keeps the stress low and the turnout high.

Digital Marketing That Reached the Entire Region

The parade’s promotional strategy included a full digital mix designed to reach families across San Diego County:

  • Paid social ads across Facebook and Instagram
  • Programmatic banner campaigns targeting local audiences
  • Search marketing for people looking for holiday events
  • Consistent organic social content leading up to parade day

The result: strong impressions, high engagement, increased website traffic, and a noticeable lift in awareness heading into the weekend. The crowd on Third Avenue confirmed it.

Graphics and Visuals That Match the Holiday Spirit

Graphics for this year’s parade focused on bold color, warmth, lights, and the charm of a nighttime procession. From social assets to promotional banners, the visuals helped carry the holiday energy leading into the event.

Keeping Everything Running Smoothly

Large event websites evolve quickly—new details, added vendors, sponsor updates, last-minute schedule changes. To keep everything running, the site relies on regular maintenance: security updates, plugin checks, performance tuning, and fast content adjustments.

If managing all of that isn’t exactly your idea of seasonal cheer, my complete website care plan keeps everything updated and secure while you focus on the event itself.

A Great Night for Chula Vista and a Fun Project to Support

Seeing thousands of people fill Third Avenue for the Starlight Parade is one of those reminders of why community events matter. They bring people together, they support local businesses, and they create memories families keep coming back for.

It was a privilege to support this year’s parade alongside Soundskilz Inc., and I’m excited to be part of future seasons as the event continues to grow.
